He did get lucky, but let’s be clear, so did I.

I’ll admit, I was initially intrigued by his yoga skills and his ability to catch fish. But what kept me was everything underneath - his kindness, his humor, and the way he shows up consistently and wholeheartedly.

Our story may not be traditional, but that’s exactly what makes it ours. It didn’t follow the timeline we expected, and it certainly didn’t take the long, winding road we had prepared ourselves for. But sometimes the best things don’t.
